The Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (DTU Compute), at the Technical University of Denmark, is the largest IT department in Denmark and represents a unique combination of modern applied mathematics and computer science & engineering. The section on Embedded Systems Engineering (ESE) is one of eleven sections in DTU Compute.
ESE conducts research in a broad range of topics central for design of modern embedded systems, including real-time systems, fault-tolerant and safety-critical systems, hardware/software co-design, concurrent and parallel programming, heterogeneous distributed multi-core architectures and execution platforms, as well as a range of models, methods and tools for the analysis, design and verification of such systems. ESE has a lot of experience on modelling, analysis and design of embedded safety-critical real-time systems, including wireless systems. ESE has strong expertise in safety assurance and security.
