Qamcom Research and Technology AB is a Swedish SME company, which was founded in 2001 with an ambition to combine research and advanced technology within all parts of the product development chain. The company is privately owned and currently has around 100 employees of which about a third hold a Ph.D. degree.
Traditionally Qamcom has been working with product development (OEM provider) for classical microwave backhaul but also provides expert services to its customers. The work domain has shifted towards automotive and is today a third of its business (another third is telecom and the rest is other service such as medical). The expert services can be both in-house of at the customer.
The three core competences of the company relevant for SafeCOP are: embedded communication systems (V2x), functional safety and cooperative vehicle systems, vehicle antenna systems.
